While Eichler Homes do not exit in Chicago (or anywhere else in the State), Illinois is fortunate enough to have some incredible architecture and design, including mid-century modern and modern residential architecture throughout the entire state.
Much of the mid-century modern design and progressive architecture found throughout Chicago was either created, or strongly influenced by, Frank Lloyd Wright, a Wisconsin native who moved to Chicago in 1887.
As mentioned, Eichlers cannot be found in Chicago, however there is no lack of great modern and mid-century modern real estate in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. If you are looking to buy a modernist home in Illinois (especially in the city of Chicago and surrounding areas), I would strongly encourage you to contact me directly so that I can personally introduce you to realtors that specialize in architecturally-significant contemporary and postmodern homes.
