If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, check out the art celebration that is about to descend on San Francisco. Whether you are a Bay Area resident or a visitor, this event is a must see for art lovers.
Tomorrow marks the opening of Art Market San Francisco, the art fair that has become one of the Bay Area’s premier contemporary and modern art events. The fair features work from a global array of galleries as well as a series of lectures and panel discussions.
Opening night (Wednesday, April 29, 2015) gets things started with a Benefit Preview Reception, offering VIP ticketholders exclusive access to the show along with live entertainment, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres. Thursday evening is party night, when VIP and Fair Pass holders will be welcomed to the show to enjoy the art, along with food, and drink.
In addition to viewing the art displays, participants can sign up for a variety of panel discussions that include American Art at Mid-Century, public art, and street art.
On Saturday evening (May 2, 2015), Art Market visitors are invited to an “off campus” party in the DoReMi Arts and Designs district in the Potrero neighborhood. Participating galleries will have their doors opened, and word on the street is that bites and cocktails will be served by interactive robots designed by Kal Spelletich.
