Check Out Our New Eichler Pages (and more...)

We recently expanded Eichler For Sale to include information, news, and listings for Eichler homes in Sacramento and Southern California. Doing so reminded me of the children’s book If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, a circular tale where one thing leads to another until you find your way back to the beginning. In putting the pages together for Sacramento and SoCal, I found myself being sidetracked by just about everything I found.
One particularly interesting website I found was a map that Modern San Diego put together identifying the Mid-Century Modern Architecture of San Diego. (I know – how in the world did I end up there? There are NO Eichlers in San Diego.) Anyway for our SoCal readers – or anyone planning a trip down there who might be interested in a self-guided tour, check out the Modern Map at Modern San Diego. I also particularly liked the Los Angeles Office of Historic Resources website. In addition to providing useful information for any community interested in gaining an historic designation, the site specifically covers the Balboa Highlands Eichler community in Granada Hills. We have two historic Eichler neighborhoods in the Bay Area (Greenmeadow and Green Gables) – and I know there are residents in several other Eichler communities who are interested in gaining recognition for their neighborhoods. The LA site is one good place to look for direction.
I could go on, but in the interest of getting some real work accomplished today, I’ll leave other websites and information I’ve stumbled across on my wanderings for another time and place. In the meantime, I need to get back to my original thought – and that is to invite you to check out Eichler For Sale’s newest pages about the Eichler homes in Sacramento and Southern California! I think you’ll find them informative; and we here at Eichler For Sale are happy to have these wonderful Eichler communities on board!
