Contemporary Design Exhibit At Sonoma Valley Museum Of Art
I’m excited about the new exhibit that kicks off tonight with a members’ reception at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art. Created to appeal to all you contemporary design buffs out there, the show features the award winning, San Francisco based firm of Aidlin Darling in the exhibition Site and Senses: The Architecture of Aidlin Darling Design. Running from December 20, 2013 to March 2, 2014, the exhibit takes an innovative, multi-sensory approach to the impact that architecture has on our lives.
As part of the exhibit, the museum is offering a public educational program on two Tuesdays in January (January 14 + January 21) titled Icons of Modern Architecture. This seminar will take a look at some of the modern era’s most notable buildings.
I’m sure this exhibition will be inspirational for all of us who appreciate modern design – not to mention the fact we might be able to work in a little wine tasting as part of the excursion!
