Top Blogs For 2014

The other day I noticed that a few of my favorite sites posted their top stories/posts for 2014 and that got me to wondering about what my most popular blogs were, so I went back and took a look.  By far-and-away, the write up I did in April on the New Mid-Century Modernism Exhibition in San Francisco featuring an exhibit at San Francisco’s Contemporary Jewish Museum took first place with well over 9000 hits.  A couple more well read pieces (also, coincidentally, written in April) were a short blog on the inspiration that Eichler found through his experience living in the Bazett House in Hillsborough CA, a little piece I did on neighborhood garage sales, and my thoughts on “reinvented” Eichlers.

It would seem that Eichler and MCM enthusiasts also like reading about Eichler, Eichleresque, and Mid-Century homes in out-of-the-way places (O.K.  I know that out-of-the-way is a relative term, so I’ll define it as being out of the major Eichler areas…).  Mid-Century Modern In Sacramento – 62 Eichlers + Lots of Strengs, Eichlers of New York, Joseph Eichler’s Style Is Alive And Well In Canada, and “Eichlers” Of Austin all proved to be popular posts.

Landscaping was also a popular topic – from water-wise tips and curb appeal ideas to one story I did that was full of links to a few of my favorite Bay Area locations providing inspiration and interesting products.

All in all, it appears the MCM crowd is an eclectic group, interested in shopping and gift ideas, home shows, art and design events, and just about every aspect of home décor and design.  I will continue to keep my eye out for topics I think will interest you – and, as always, invite you to visit Eichler For Sale often for remodeling and design ideas as well as the latest Eichler news for the Bay Area as well as Sacramento and Southern California.
