For any of you who live in the Bay Area (or are looking for a fun weekend getaway), Kitchens In The Vineyards Home And Garden Tour in the Napa Valley promises to be a fun event. Somehow this didn’t make it onto my radar when I was putting together the upcoming events section for April’s Eichler Newsletter. I’m not sure how I missed it – but you know what they say, better late than never!!
The weekend kicks off with Friday’s (April 24, 2015) Preview Party, which includes a private tour of the homes (champagne included!), a reception at sunset, and a wine paired dinner in the Vineyard Room at Robert Mondavi Winery.
Saturday, April 25, 2015, the self-guided tour will take you to five glamorous Napa Valley homes where kitchens, dining rooms, entertainment areas, and gardens will be the key attraction. The experience will be enhanced by décor created by a team of designers and tasting menus prepared by local restaurants. Rumor has it that a few local cookbook authors will also be on hand to autograph copies of their books.
I think experiencing the Wine Country lifestyle looks like a good way to spend a weekend! If you agree, you can find out more about the event here. To keep up with home tours and events happening in the Eichler, MCM, and Contemporary design world subscribe to the Eichler For Sale Newsletter. In addition to info on the Eichler real estate market, we include an eclectic assortment of tips on homeownership, entertaining, design ideas, and upcoming events that would be of interest to Mid-Century, Eichler, and Contemporary architecture enthusiasts.
