Selling Your Eichler In The Autumn
It’s a not-so-well kept secret in the real estate world that despite conventional wisdom, October is a good month to sell you home. That being said, if you missed the October sales-fest, it doesn’t mean that you’ve missed out on getting your home sold!
Once-upon-a-time school calendars, with their September – May schedule, controlled the residential real estate market. Moms and Dads wanted to find their new home and get the family moved while the kids were out of school for the summer. While spring and summer are still a great time for selling and buying a home (particularly if the move means a change of schools for the children), autumn and winter have come into their own.
Although families with kids are still a force to be reckoned with in the real estate world, empty nesters and Millennials are on the move. School schedules and sunny weather don’t dictate their house hunting and a savvy home seller will realize that the combo of fewer homes on the market during the fall and winter months and buyers whose needs aren’t governed by the traditional timeframe can translate to a great time to sell their homes.
If you’ve been thinking about selling or purchasing an Eichler but thought waiting until spring might be your best move, you might want to think about taking the plunge now. Contact our Eichler For Sale team to discuss your real estate needs. We have a great team of Eichler experts from the North Bay to SoCal – and east to Sacramento!
