September Is Architecture Month In San Francisco
Heads up to all you Bay Area design and architecture buffs. It is time, once again, for San Francisco’s annual Architecture and the City celebration. This event is one of the largest architecture celebrations in the nation – and this year’s theme, Play: Design in Action, suggests it will be a month of fun and entertainment.
The celebration kicks off on September 4 with the Opening Night Party and continues throughout the month with home tours, walking tours, biking tours, sketching tours, and behind the scenes tours. When you need a rest from all that touring, take in a lecture or workshop, watch a film or two, or introduce the kids to the world of architecture by joining in the family fun at the Contemporary Jewish Museum or building a sandcastle at Ocean Beach.
Presented by AIA San Francisco, Architecture And The City runs through the month of September at various venues. For more information about this citywide celebration or to purchase tickets for events visit Architecture and the City Festival 2015.
