If you are going to be anywhere near Southern California at the end of the month, you won’t want to miss the 2015 edition of Dwell on Design Los Angeles. Billed as America’s largest design event, this year’s extravaganza will feature hundreds of exhibits, speakers, seminars, and demonstrations for design professionals and consumers. As it has in the past, the event will also include three days of self-drive home touring that will take you to fifteen of Los Angeles’ awesome homes.
- Saturday, May 23, 2015: The West Side tour will take in five trendsetting homes in LA’s beach communities. Included on the tour is a Mid-Century home in Santa Monica that is somewhat reminiscent of an Eichler, a brand-new, contemporary home built using a system of prefabricated panels, and a wildly wacky pink and orange home in Mar Vista.
- Saturday, May 30, 2015: The South Bay tour will include stunning renovations (including a Manhattan Beach home with a butterfly roof) and a beachside home that is designed to combine coastal views with privacy.
- Sunday, May 31, 2015: This year’s tour concludes with Midtown-East Side homes that will take in an award-winning, post-and beam home near Pasadena and a midtown 1950s bungalow that has been transformed into a light and airy contemporary home.
