Burlingame Eichler Homes

Joseph Eichler built 100 homes in the Burlingame neighborhood of Mills Estates.  The Burlingame/Mills Estates Eichlers are located on Frontera Way, Dolores Way, Capistrano Way, Mariposa Drive, Mariposa Court, Atwater Drive, Alcazar Drive, and Hunt Drive.

Mills Estates is a mix of contemporary ranch style homes and Eichlers.  Mariposa Drive and Mariposa Court are the only two streets completely devoted to Eichler homes.  The gently rolling hills of Mills Estates offer many of the homes stunning views of the surrounding Bay Area.  The Burlingame/Mills Estates Eichlers are larger homes with 4 and 5 bedrooms and averaging well over 2000 square feet of living space and include a variety of atrium models, double-peaked “A-frames”, and flattops.

As a note of interest: The Eichler homes in Mills Estates are among the first to incorporate Claude Oakland’s 24 plan, which created an atrium in the center of the house instead of as part of the entry to the home.
