Greer Park Eichlers, Palo Alto
Greer Park is located in Palo Alto’s Midtown neighborhood. Originally, about 130 Eichler homes were built in Greer Park on Amarillo Avenue, Moffett Circle, Metro Circle, Lawrence Lane, Van Auken Circle and Greer Road, between Amarillo and Colorado Avenues.
Built in the early 1950s, Greer Park was one of Eichler’s original housing tracts and used prototype designs that Anshen + Allen had developed for five of Eichler’s subdivisions, which included three Palo Alto tracts (Greer Park, El Centro Gardens, Green Gables) as well as Sunnyvale Manor Addition in Sunnyvale and Redwood City’s Atherwood. In December of 1950 Architectural Forum Magazine recognized Greer Park, along with Eichler’s developments in Green Gables, El Centro Gardens, and Atherwood as “Subdivision of the Year”.
