There are approximately 120 Eichler homes in the Los Arboles and Los Arboles Addition neighborhoods of Palo Alto. Los Arboles is the larger tract; and Eichler homes can be found on Holly Oak Drive, Cork Oak Way, and Ames Avenue between Middlefield and Ross Road. Los Arboles Addition Eichlers are located nearby on Torreya Court, Toyon Place, and Loma Verde Avenue.
The Los Arboles Eichler neighborhood was built in two phases. Los Arboles is the larger tract with about 86 Eichlers, which were built in 1959-60. Los Arboles Addition, built in the early 1970s, was one of Eichler’s last projects and includes nine rare 2-story Eichler homes designed by Claude Oakland, as well as single story gallery and atrium model homes. Both Los Arboles and Los Arboles Addition are well-groomed Eichler neighborhoods without overhead utilities to detract from the clean contemporary lines of the Eichler homes.
