Orange, CA Eichler Homes

With 350 Eichler homes built in three separate neighborhoods, the city of Orange has more Eichlers than any community outside of the San Francisco Bay Area.  The Fairhaven tract is in the southernmost tip of Orange with Eichler homes located along S. Woodland Street as well as several intersecting streets.  Slightly north of Fairhaven, the Fairmeadow Eichlers can be found west of N. Cambridge Street, between E. Taft Avenue and E. Glendale Avenue. Orange’s smallest Eichler neighborhood, Fairhills, is in east Orange with homes strung along N. Granada Drive, N. Linda Vista Street, E. Elsinore Avenue, N. San Remo Place and a few on E. Valencia Drive.

The Orange CA Eichler homes were built in the early 1960s using floor plans designed by Eichler’s well-known architects Anshen+Allen, Jones & Emmons, and Claude Oakland.  Typical of later Eichlers, most of these homes are relatively spacious, ranging from 1963 - 2407 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 2+ baths.  Most of the Eichler homes in Orange feature atriums and a multi-purpose room.  There are several semi-custom Eichlers in Orange CA.

As a note of interest:  There is also a Fairhaven Eichler tract in San Jose as well as another Eichler community named Fairmeadow in Palo Alto.
