Primewood Eichlers, Sunnyvale
Primewood is a small Sunnyvale Eichler tract located just south of the much larger Eichler neighborhoods of Fairbrae and Rancho Verde. The 35 Primewood Eichler homes can be found on Lennox Way, Lennox Court, Beaverton Court, Blanchard Way, and Allison Way.
The Eichlers in Primewood were built late in Joseph Eichler’s career as a real estate developer and are among the largest homes he built, ranging from 1700 to 2300 square feet. Most of the homes are 4-bedroom models. Designed by the architectural firms of Claude Oakland and Jones & Emmons, many of the Primewood Eichlers are double gabled models, and most have atriums. Primewood is a Sunnyvale neighborhood that falls within the purview of the Eichler Design Guidelines, a city plan that protects the integrity of several Eichler neighborhoods. Fairbrae, Midtown, Rancho Verde, Parmer Place, Fairorchard, Rancho San Souci, Fairwood, and Fairpark are other Eichler communities that are included in the Eichler Design Guidelines program.
