San Anselmo Eichler Homes

In 1965, Eichler Homes, Inc. was sold to a Southern California real estate development group. Soon thereafter, Joseph Eichler reorganized as J.L Eichler Associates and partnered with architect Claude Oakland to build a number of homes, including a small development in the Sleepy Hollow area of San Anselmo in Marin. This unique Eichler development is situated near the intersection of Catskill Court & Katrina Lane in San Anselmo.

Built between 1972-1974, the Sleepy Hollow Eichler neighborhood in Marin consists of 15 Eichler homes designed by architect Claude Oakland.

All homes within this San Anselmo Eichler neighborhood enjoy spacious floorplans (2,200 - 2,500 square feet) and extremely generous lot sizes (approximately 1/2 acre lots). A variety of single-story floorplans exist, including layouts featuring 5 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms.

Common Eichler-built design elements are found within this Sleepy Hollow Eichler neighborhood, including open floor plans with post-and-beam construction, in-floor radiant heat (copper pipes) and floor-to-glass ceilings throughout. These Sleepy Hollow Eichlers are located in the Tamalpais Unified School District.

Another major attraction of this small Eichler community is that it is one of only a few areas throughout Sleepy Hollow that enjoys underground utilities and above ground streetlights.

Neighborhood turnover in this quaint, Sleepy Hollow Eichler development is extremely low. Sales prices for Sleepy Hollow Eichlers typically range between $1.7M to $2.1M.
